I found this piece and kept coming back to it because it had a simple industrial elegance. The bottom part appears to be a section of a vintage wood millinery hat base while the middle circle is more of an oval than a circle. The top section, cut at an angle with four smaller rounded pieces gives it a deco feeling.
It’s charming, it’s simple and would I call it art? Absolutely!
The bottom wood mound measures 8 1/2” in diameter. The total height is 9 1/4” in height.
