This unique necklace is made out of fish vertebrae and wonderful cobalt blue beads. The lack of uniformity between each vertebrae contrasted with the blue beads that share much similarity only makes this necklace more interesting. Fish vertebrae like these were used as beads in a variety of cultures including Hawaiian, Polish, Native American, and, most commonly, African. It is clear that this necklace was carefully handcrafted which gives it even more character.
